In loving memory of Louise Alberta (Lanier) Williams "Lady", who was a wonderful and beautiful mother, an amazing grandmother, a desired and adored friend as she served throughout her life as a devoted christian. Louise was blessed to have lived a long and prosperous life. In her early years, Lady pressed her way to be the woman she had become as she watched changes in the world's history. While attending Wilberforce University in 1940, Louise was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.(AKA), Zeta chapter, in 1941. Zeta was the 6th AKA chapter to be chartered at the University. Mother Williams would have said to everyone, "Do not weep for me, for I am with my Lord. My body has died, but my soul will live on. I know up in heaven I will live and continue to honor my God for the rest of my eternity. Now that I have my wings, I have been reborn as another angel and I am set free. Do not weep for me, for I am not completely gone. I was a survivor and have seen the worst and the best of this world’s history since my first breath was drawn. I loved and was loved by a wonderful man, siblings, friends and strangers since my life began. I was blessed with a father who taught me well. He showed me how to raise blessed generations to live this life on earth as a heaven not hell. My dear mother who taught me to stand on my feet with a faith that anchored me to help all of my family when that glorious day comes and we meet and greet. If you fear dying, you will not live a full life as pain and dread will cut through like a knife. Live each day with joy while you are here on this earth; make each day count with compassion and mirth. Do not weep for me, for I am in my heavenly home. This vessel that held my soul has died, but my soul and memories will live on. I leave all of you with my love and I pray that our souls will touch once again someday."
Louise Alberta Williams "Lady" will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and friends. Proverbs 31
