Johnnie Turner was a loving husband, wonderful father and devoted Christian to all who knew him.We want to always remember the beautiful life you lived and keep alive the memories we have of Johnnie through remembering what he did and stood for. For he is so special to all of us, a wonderful person indeed. Deacon Turner's love, laughter and warm smile reflected a heart that believed just in the everyday things we do. We remember all his faith and love in the words he spoke to help us through will always be a continued reminder for us. Although we miss him so very much, we know we'll see you once more. For this is the hope we have in God and being re-united in the Lord. As we gather, we'll continue to share special times we went through. For these are memories that warm our hearts as we honor the memory of him. Deacon Johnnie Turner taught us that the greatest witness we have is the witness that we have with our family. He held a position as a deacon in Central Holiness. "These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach…For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.” The office of the deacon is not a position of leadership, but deacons often find themselves leading. Their leadership is a derived authority, earning such through godly character and sacrificial service. Such leadership was fitting and right for Deacon Johnnie to hold.
Deacon Johnnie Turner will be truly and dearly missed by a host loving relatives and devoted friends. Psalms 1
