John Abraham Washington Jr. was born on July 4, 1941 in Savannah, GA to the proud parents, John Washington Sr. and Pearl Spaulding Washington. He attended the Chatham County Schools where he graduated from St. Benedict High School. Later he moved to Atlanta, GA where he worked many years at Big Star grocery store. He was affectionately given the nickname "Mr. Big Star" based on his dedication and hard work ethics. John also met and fell in love with Betty Price. They were together for 40+ years. John gave his heart to all things and people during his journey. He cherished his friendship at the Dekalb Senior Center where he loved to go and fellowship. He passed on to glory on May 4, 2020. John leaves behind to cherish his memory, sister; Earline Washington, dearest friend; Betty Price and many relatives and friends.
