George Gary Broughton "Beady" graduated from Trinity High School in Decatur, the class of 1966. His love for children and learning lead him to Savannah State College, where he majored in education and became a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Although Beady was a momma's boy, he married his high school sweetheart, Janet Burnett and became a family with her and her three children. Due to his curiosity for tinkering with things around the house, George later decided to venture into another career field and became an electrician. Although he was a very private person, Beady enjoyed a quiet and simple life with his family and friends. Even with his dry sense of humor, you could not help but to laugh even if you did not know if he was being serious or joking. Mr. Broughton loved to play the drums and was a beloved Atlanta Falcons and Hawks fan. He always represented his city with pride!
