Eugene Hunt Sr was a loving and wonderful father, an amazing and caring brother and a desired friend to all who knew and loved him dearly. Eugene Sr. might not have been the most expressive man around, but we all can trust that his love for his family was profound. He may not have hugged you every single day, but he adored all of you in every possible way, Gene knew that when his life on earth was over and his body was cold and still. He would not want you to grieve because he left you, just know it was God's will. All his suffering is over along with every trial and every test. When God called Gene, he answered to take his rest. Another leaf has fallen and a link has been broken from our family's chain. Although we are hurting from our loss, we are grateful for heaven's gain. Every day that you are gone, we can hear your still voice saying, "Don't weep for me, I don't have to struggle anymore. Don't worry for me, please don't shed a tear. I did the Lord's work while I was here. Any moment I can bring you any cheer, continue to laugh when you think of me and have no fear. I'm on the other side of eternity, swinging on the clouds and walking on air. I guarantee my family and friends, if you follow Christ as I did, I'm sure to see you there."
