IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty R.
Manns
November 30, 1944 – November 30, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Rose Manns, a beloved mother, friend, devoted family member, and cherished member of the community. Betty R. Manns entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Betty Rose Manns, of Decatur, GA, was born July 8, 1945, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Minnie P. Warren and Loveless D. Henderson. She met and married the late Isaac Manns Jr., and together they left Birmingham, Alabama to make Georgia their home. She was a woman whose strength carried her family through life's hardest seasons. After the passing of her husband earlier in life, Betty remained a pillar of strength, guiding her children with love, resilience, and grace.
She leaves behind the two greatest joys of her life, her son, Isaac Manns III (Melvenia) of Stockbridge, Georgia, and her daughter, Monica Monique Smith (Deonte) of Conyers, Georgia. Her love continues through ten grandchildren, including one granddaughter who preceded her in death, and five great-grandchildren who carry her legacy forward.
She is also survived by her sisters, Cheryl Warren of Stockbridge, GA and Angela Warren-Dowdell of Bessmer, Alabama, and was preceded in death by her brother, Dawson Henderson.
She leaves a loving circle of extended family, including sisters-in-law Alice Moore, Clara Bates (Jerome, Sr.), and Nancy Edmonds, all of Decatur, Georgia; brothers-in-law Jerome Bates, Sr. of Decatur, Georgia, and Charlie Manns of Los Angeles, California; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Betty will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering support of others, and the grace she extended so freely. She was a woman who showed up, and the love she shared will never be forgotten.
